Alice usually works with oil paint on canvas, but occasionally with acrylic and watercolour, too.
The commission process starts by contacting Alice with an idea, sending photographic references, and determining the dimensions for the piece. The more photographs of the subject, and the higher the quality, the better. Try to source the original digital photo (not a screenshot and not one shared over many social media platforms) as otherwise, the quality is diminished.
If the painting idea is more conceptual/abstract, you can have a conversation about the ideas you have, working together to create the painting you envision. It can also be helpful to share one or two of Alice's previously created paintings that particularly speak to you.
Once the variables have been determined, you will receive a quote. If you decide to go ahead, a 50% deposit is required.
When the painting is close to finished, Alice will send photos for review. At this point you can let her know if there’s anything you’d like her to alter. Once you are completely happy, you can make the final payment via bank transfer (or paypal for those outside of the UK) and your painting will be sent via a fully tracked delivery service.
